Mammoth Mass Combat allows for sieges, skirmishes, and pitched battles between mighty armies – while still using the normal 5e combat mechanics that players and DMs are used to.
Player characters take the role of battle commanders, controlling Warbands that represent large numbers of warriors. Characters have access to all the tools they might want from normal 5e combat, whereas Warbands use a simplified fighting system that simulates large units of creatures clashing.
In this system, the grand final battle between good and evil can be played out in full detail by the characters. Allow players to be creative and dramatic, the rules come second!
